For a stock to be selected it must pass thru an algorithm which filters out all but the best performing stocks according to price movement and trend characteristics over the past few months (medium term). Recent (short term) patterns are also taken into account in stock selection. The number of filters in the algorithm varies between fifteen and twenty-three (at present) depending on market conditions. It is possible for no stocks to be selected, this happens in general bearish conditions.
